This morning I went to the good ol' doc. I am SOOOOO happy from what she told me. She said that since I got pregnant so close to Taryn being born, that she doubts I'll make it the whole forty weeks. Sooooo, she said I may have to make some back-up plans for Halloween...which I already have...since I might be a little unable to make the rounds around the block. I know I'm getting too excited about this, especially since my kids tend to want to come late. I'd just be happy, honestly, if he came by his due date, and not weeks later. Still, I can't help but hope that he comes a little early. That would TOTALLY rock!
Anyway, last night Julia and I celebrated our twentieth anniversary of being friends by going to the Violent Femmes concert. All I can say is that IT FUCKING KICKED ASS!!!!!! I loved every second of it! Their opener was awful, and they took forever to come on stage to begin...but man, once they did, it was the best live band I've ever seen. As if they weren't the shiznit already, they are even better live. I boogied till it hurt, literally, and I've been sore all day from it! I was upset b/c I thought they weren't going to play my favorite song of theirs, "Kiss Off". They left the stage, and we stomped and chanted for more. They came back...and played it! HOORAY! I danced, balls to the wall with everything I had, for the whole song. It was so awesome! When it was over, I had to bend over and hold my knees b/c I was out of breath and on the verge of passing out, literally. It was completely worth it, though. I hope they come back, b/c I would love to see them again, especially not pregnant the next time!
I guess that's enough for now. I hope you all had a great day. My night at work sucked, but in the end I was only a few dollars shy of my goal for the night, so it wasn't as bad as I thought. Now I'm going to go lick my wounds from last night a little more...talk to you later!
It sounds like you had quite the blast. Way to go! Good news about the baby too.
